As far as basic shapes, like circles and ovals, I prefer the old fashioned method: Draw the shape from a regular plastic template on the back of the photo or card stock and cut it out with a pair of good scissors. I also have the Fiskars system, but found myself only using the plastic templates, not the cutting tool, and I would not risk cutting directly on the photograph. As for scrapbooking as a whole, I love the Sizzix system above all the others. It will cut through a variety of materials, and can be used for way more than just scrapbooking. They have circles, ovals, etc., but these shapes will not get as big as the ones in the Fiskars system. |
